I remember the day my opinion on Coach changed from 'gah those bags that are sold at the airport duty free' to 'this is pretty fucking cool'.
I was sitting at my desk at work referencing for a shoot and came across a new kind of Coach.
Stuart Vevers was appointed Creative Director and I had watched with excitement as he reinstated Mulberry as a brand to buy.
I was excited! Steven Meisel shot this beautiful campaign and Coach was no longer 'that airport brand' to me.
It was right up my alley muted tones, grungy girls and small town locations. I also wanted those bags!
Then it got even better the latest collection S/S15 at NYFW blew my mind. Not only did I love it but Coach collaborated with Gary Baseman which is just fucking cool. I already loved his twisted little monsters.
This collection is my seventies, small town, pastel coloured, candy dream. Believe me when I say I WANT IT ALL.
So this much is true, the right visionary genius can transform drab to fab and make every cool kid take notice.
