As part of the "Hello Darkness" horror film festival running at ACMI this past week I was, for the second time encapsulated by 'let the right one in' .
Swedish filmmaker Tomas Alfredson, adapts the John Ajvide Lindqvist novel ‘Let the right one in’ creating a highly compelling film tackling an innocence surrounding love, friendship, isolation and death, across a vast and encompassing landscape. The film has a disturbing beauty that will leave you in awe.
I urge you to check out the rest of "Hello Darkness": http://www.hellodarkness.com.au/program.htm
Running from the 26th - 31st of October closing fittingly for Halloween.

Bask in her glory:
Chloe Sevigny, what can I say about her she has been a lover ever since I saw KIDS back in 95. To me she seems to have it all quirky looks, a style that is unafraid and most importantly she is interesting.
Her contribution to OPENING CEREMONY http://www.openingceremony.us/ is always brilliant and she skates to boot.
I left her on the wayside for a while and rediscovered her a few months back after a 3 day marathon of BIG LOVE (watch it its brilliant!), only she could make polygamy sexy.

I became quietly obsessed with Kristen Mcmenamy after reading an article by the amazing fashion journalist Holly Brubach. The article, 'The Eye Of the Beholder', gives an inspiring account of Kristen in amongst the chaos surrounding the Amazonian supermodels of the the 1990s.
Kristen was the polar opposite to the preferred look of that era. Red hair, pale skin, gaunt alien features, some thought of her as ugly, some thought of her as beautiful, some as interesting. Some say she is legendary Steven Meisel captured this for Vogue Italia July 2009. Simply stunning.
Heres a peak enjoy.
I have been pouring over the latest issue of Purple Fashion. Issue #12 WOW yet again Purple proves why its one of my favorite publications.
Heres a taste its just plain mean (in a good way).
Abbey Lee Kershaw, Eniko Mihalik, Freja Beha Erichsen, Magdalena Frackowiak on fire shot by Terry Richardson.
I knew this day would come and can only wonder if the glitter that once surrounded this high street gem will no longer shine.
I don't think its the fact that Topshop produces AMAZING product, because at the end of the day its just on trend throw away, but instead all that glittered was Topshop being relatively hard to get, if you weren't web savvy you would have to travel OS to discover and relish in the greatness that is a high street shopping frenzy.
Great designer capsule ranges, good price points and imaginative marketing, maybe they will teach us a thing or two about how its done Sportsgirl must be shaking in their fashionable boots.
27 days and counting....
